Afterglow 04:08
What if we would not forget What if we would not regret Could we feel the same Would I need you the same Shouldn't we just count on it? To feel it again? For in between the dawn and red afterglow Lies the chance for us to be free For in between the dawn and red afterglow Lies the chance for the world to see The beauty of it all

60 years Was all we got Some liberation An "equal" shot Or so we thought As Mum and Dad retired With the TV on The disenchantment choir I walk the streets, these dead end streets My head aglow, wanna go, where no man should go The fight is fixed And happiness Is a dimmer grin The thick is thin Let's begin Let's begin No rights No peace Tonight We won't sleep No sleep This is War It always was From a bitter field, A better deal The workers' cause In highrise and in pit We give our lives to it In highrise and in pit For as far as the eye can see From them to you to me And further than the eye can see... Suffer that Suffer that a while But hold on Until your chest explodes What's right is right...

Spring had come and the last snow was black with dirt and poison. People everywhere seemed slow, and behind their sunglasses they were hiding the hollowness that one too many winters leave in everyone. The days passed slowly yet darkness came fast and, while the thin coffee in his dirty cup went from cool to cold, he sat quietly and rolled another cigarette. It always got so quiet then. Once again, he would watch the ceiling and dream about freedom, hoping to see the past and the future in some perfect wedding march. If only he could really close his eyes, he could live in a dream and not in this constant fear of never really being awake. "Do you miss me", she said. But he can only hear the surface of things. He's unaware of the true absence of her voice. Her eyes would forever shine to him as he sees her blowing him a kiss from a train. Maybe one of these nights she'll finally step down from that giant ghost and whisper: "Come on, let's dance."

And through the noise I heard A voice lose its heart and Hum the words to my favorite song 'Bout falling down 'Bout falling down "The heart may beat But it beats retreat To where false steps and dead ends lead"
5.
7pm 11/22 You smiled at me I smiled at you   I pulled you close By the riverside The traffic hummed like jets and tanks Below the sky You said you'd been thinking That a place with a garden would be nice I said someday soon my love I said it twice And you turned with the falling sun Hard in your eyes When the brightest light I'd ever seen  Exploded from the cafe to the right And just like that I was thrown into the river There was fire and chairs and broken glass And a dust full of glitter And I saw you drop Like a cup from a table And I howled with every sorrow in the world as if it was able To stop that moment As if it would just rewind When the horrors of another man Swallowed mine 11/22 Was our anniversary And 11/22 Will always be The day that I lost you
6.
I returned to the city that once had a name 'Cause after what happened, it could not be the same But in a rain swept alley Your sweet scent seemed to pervade The oppressive air And the clocks ticked slowly As if their hands were afraid To run out of time We haven't met for what seemed like forever 5 or 6 years must have gone by I tried to forget - what a hopeless endeavor Nevertheless, I avoided your eyes As if the halcyon past we had dreamed away was something to think of "only some day" And in the dead of an endless summer's night I caught a glimpse of what once seemed eternal And underneath the stars which lost their light That once seemed infernal I reminisced about a long lost future In which the halcyon past we had dreamed away Was something to think of "maybe one day"
7.
Jaded 04:09
It's been twelve weeks And all the grief They always bragged but lied about Had left the streets We used to drive and walk around And just dark deeds Delight the eye That's usually caught to mope around Forbidding change We used to dream, not doubt about And soon the singing mourning doves Escaped their world of make believe And as there's silence from above I'll leave behind what they deceived
8.
And outside I still hear the screams In the rustling of leaves On a september's eve I guess they are here To say their farewell To fall's first freeze But also to tell The forthcoming heat Will spread like a fever And strew ember Of that day last november With you by my side All this darkness will be light

about

The days passed slowly yet darkness came fast. It can't be illuminated, but filled: with dark and gloomy sound of Our Ceasing Voice. It's the perfect blend of hypnotizing ambient and something that once was Post-Rock.

Through their music and lyrics the Austrian band, founded in 2006, is telling the story of the passage of time, that's supposed to heal all wounds, of the things in life one can't escape.

Incorporating guest appearances by American singer-songwriter Matthew Ryan, as well as the typical, deep and almost dying vocals of Reinhard Obermeir, lead to tighter song structures while maintaining Our Ceasing Voice's full cinematic strengths. Thus, their new album will make sure sure you won't be able to escape your memory. Of everything that happened on that day last November.

Austrian ambient rockers Our Ceasing Voice have always thrived on change. At the heart of their new sound are vocals as distinctive as the music itself: dark and poetic, dramatic and brave.
